Carburetor Assembly Removal and Installation

!
Gasoline is highly flammable and explosive.
Keep heat, spark and flame away.
Removal
1) Turn the fuel valve ON position.
2) Remove the side cover. Refer to “Exterior Parts
Removal and Installation in Section 9D (Page 9D-
3)”.
3) Remove the throttle lever cap (1).
4) Disconnect the throttle cable (2).
5) Disconnect the fuel hose (3) and vacuum hose (4)
from the fuel valve.
6) Loosen the clamp screws and remove the carburetor
between the air cleaner box and intake pipe.
7) Disconnect the starter cable (5).
Installation
Install the carburetor assembly in the reverse order of
removal. Pay attention to the following points:
• Perform the following adjustments.
– Engine idle speed. Refer to “Engine Idle Speed
Inspection (Page 1G-22)”.
– Throttle cable play. Refer to “Throttle Cable Play
Inspection and Adjustment in Section 0B (Page 0B-
13)”.
Carburetor Disassembly

1) Remove the fuel hose (1), air vent hose (2) and
vacuum hose (3).
2) Remove the coasting enrichment valve cover (4),
spring (5) coasting enrichment valve (6) and O-ring
(7).
