3.2.4 Removing and installing oil pressure
switch -F1-
Special tools and workshop equipment required
◆ Torque wrench (5…50 Nm) -V.A.G 1331-
Removing
Note
â—† Oil pressure switch -F1- is installed on rear left of cylinder
head.
â—† Depending on how the engine is installed, the location where
the repair measure is required may be difficult to access.
Remove any required components to ensure proper working
conditions.
â—† Removal and installation must be carried out from right-hand
side, behind cylinder head.
– If appropriate, remove any relevant components and service
fluid lines or detach line retainers to allow for laying lines to
one side.
– Unscrew bolts -1-, and remove lifting eye.
– Release and pull off connector -4-.
– Unscrew oil pressure switch -F1- -3-.
Installing
Install in reverse order.
– Tighten oil pressure switch -F1- -3- to 22 Nm.
– Tighten bolts of lifting eye to 20 Nm.
