Removing
Note
The thermostat is located within the 4/2-way valve and cannot
be replaced individually.
Drain coolant ⇒ Page 284.
Remove alternator ⇒ Page 471
Remove any required coolant lines, coolant pipes, compo-
nents of the charge air system as well as electrical lines to
allow for removing 4/2-way valve.
If necessary, remove throttle valve module -J338-
⇒ Page 355.
If necessary, remove dipstick guide tube ⇒ Page 157.
