1.5 Draining water from fuel filter/fuel tank
Caution
Fill and bleed fuel system after removal or renewal of com-
ponents between fuel tank and high-pressure fuel pump

– Unclip fuel filter -1- from fuel filter bracket.
– Take fuel filter -1- upwards out of fuel filter bracket. Fuel
lines remain connected to filter.
Note
Collect escaping fluid using suitable methods.
– Loosen water drain plug until fluid flows out.
– Drain fluid until only diesel flows out (approx. 100 ml). If nec-
essary, switch on ignition so that the fuel pump supplies fuel.
