Job Card D/R A216 - Arm Control Keypads Chapter 9
1SUPPLIES
Replacement keypads (5268425-2) as required (see below).
CAUTION
Older keypads PN 2383315 and PN 2383315-2 must not be reused. Always use V2 keypads
(PN 5268425-2).
The V2 Keypads (PN 5268425-2) have a membrane switch below the surface of the lift and rotation but-
tons to securitize the movement. The result is the surface of the lift and rotation buttons are flexible, and
that movement is not possible if you press on the far edge of the lift/rotation buttons. Pairs of Keypads
(on the Tube Head or Arm) must be matched with the same version of Keypad on each side of the Tube
Head or Arm. Use the following steps to determine whether you need to order one or two V2 keypads:
1. Firmly press your finger on the middle of the Keypad lift/rotation button as shown below to observe
whether the button contains a membrane.
2. On a working Keypad, press the far edge of the lift/rotation button, and observe if there is lift/rotation
movement.
• If there is lift/rotation movement, the currently installed Keypad is an old V1 Keypad.
• If there is no lift/rotation movement, the currently installed Keypad is a new V2 Keypad.
3. Pairs of Keypads (either on the Tube Head or Arm) must be matched with the same version of Key-
pad on each side of the Tube Head or Arm. Order replacement V2 Keypads according to the follow-
ing table.

rotation button flexible?

ing the extreme edge of the lift/
