1OVERVIEW
Components listed in the Component index are units which have significance for the Field Engineer
(FE). They can be physically seen or touched, or are described in the service documentation.
A component is not necessarily a FRU (Field Replaceable Unit).
Components are listed in three Component Index tables which follow this module, one for each main
sub-assembly (refer to Main sub-assemblies on page 148).
2 COMPONENT INDEX TABLE ENTRIES
Each Component Index table contains component information in 11 columns.
The contents of each column are described in the following sections:
2-1 Class
This column gives a numeric code which identifies the class of the component. Within each sub-assem-
bly, components are sorted by class. The following table gives class codes and definitions, with exam-
ples of components within each class.
