ASSEMBLING THE PRIMARY SHEAVE
1. Clean:
• Primary fixed sheave
• Primary sliding sheave
• Collar
•Cam
• Primary sheave weight
2. Lubricate:
• Collar inner surface and outer surface
• Primary sliding sheave inner surface
• Oil seal “1”
(with the recommended lubricant)
3. Install:
• Primary sheave weight “1”
• Slider “2”
•Cam “3”
TIP
Do not apply the grease inside of the primary
sheave.

ASSEMBLING THE SECONDARY SHEAVE
1. Lubricate:
• Secondary fixed sheave inner surface “1”
• Secondary sliding sheave inner surface “2”
• Oil seals
(with the recommended lubricant)
2. Install:
• Guide pin
TIP
Before installing the guide pin, align the position
(where fixed sheave rivet head “a” and guide pin
hole “b” are in alignment with each other) with
alignment mark “c” of the sliding sheave. Install
the guide pin. Then, make sure that the sliding
sheave slides to the LOW side without an inter-
ference of rivet head “d”.

YAMAHA GREASE “F”
