6-2 Reassembly of the Gantry Curtains
• To reverse the disassembly procedure, proceed as follows.
1. Slide the upper and lower curtains onto their rollers.
2. Refit the curtain securing screws (3).
3. Hook the lower ends of the springs into the holes in the lower curtain.
4. Hook the upper ends of the springs into the holes in the
upper curtain. Use an allen wrench or a plastic cable tie:
- To use an allen wrench:
Engage the wrench with the spring hook and the hole
in the curtain as shown.
Lift the wrench to tighten the spring and bring the hook
near to the hole.
Twist the spring hook so that it enters the hole.
Pull out the wrench.
- To use a cable tie:
Loop the cable tie into the upper spring hook, then use
it as a handle to guide the hook into the hole in the cur-
tain.
5. Remove the plastic which protects the new curtains.
To avoid the risk of marking the new white curtains with grease or dirt., this must be done as the last
step before remounting the column covers.
6. Remount the front and column covers (refer to Job Card PHY A044 - Remove/Reinstall Gantry Cov-
ers on page 523.
7 COMPLETION
No calibrations are required.
