Job Card D/R A208 - Gantry Curtains
6 PROCEDURE
Note:
If you do not wish to replace the curtains, but you need access to a
part in the Gantry, you need only follow the steps of section 6-1 as
listed here:
• Step 1 for access above the Gantry arm (A).
• Steps 1 and 2 for access below the Gantry arm (B).
• Steps 1, 2, and 3 to access the rear of the Gantry (C).
6-1 Disassembly of the Gantry Curtains
1. Use bent needle-nose pliers to unhook and remove the two springs
(2) from the curtains
CAUTION
If the extremity of the spring slides out of the pliers, the
spring can fly out and cause injury.
2. Release and remove the four screws (3) to release the curtains
(7 mm open ended wrench).
3. If the curtains are to be replaced or you require access to the rear of
the Gantry, slide the curtains out of their rollers.
CAUTION
Never attempt to remove the screws (3) while the springs are
under tension. They can fly out and cause injury.
