Rechargeable hand lamp
This is inside the glove box, on the left. The
lamp is protected against overcharging and
can therefore remain in the socket when it
is not in use.
Always switch the lamp off before
inserting it into the socket, or else it
could be overcharged and damaged.

Storage compartments
There is a storage compartment in the
armrest between the front seats.

There is a removable coin holder on the
front side of the storage compartment.
Press it briefly to open it.
The mat in the compartment can be
removed for cleaning.
Depending on version, the storage
compartment may contain the following
equipment:

Locking storage compartment in
front armrest
You can lock the storage compartment in
the armrest w ith the key.
If you lock the luggage compartment
lid separately and lock the storage
compartment beneath the front armrest,
e.g. at a hotel, see page 35, and hand over
only the remote control without the key to
hotel personnel, see page 30, this prevents
unauthorised access to the storage
compartment and luggage compartment.

Ventilation for storage compartment
in front armrest
The outlet can be opened and closed at the
knurled wheel in the storage compartment.
The temperature inside the storage
compartmentmay become quitehigh,
depending on the automatic air condi-
tioning settings. Close the outlet if neces-
sary.

To open, press the recess in the lid.
Eyewear compartment
To open the compartment:
Press the button briefly.
You can remove the insert for cleaning.
