Varying volume
Adjusting volume
Turn until the desired volume is obtained.
As soon as you start to make a tele-
phone call or receive an incoming
call, the volume of the set is automatically
muted.

Adjusting the volume of traffic
reports
Turn during a traffic report until the desired
volume is obtained.
This volume is retained for traffic reports
even if you set other audio sources to
minimum values.
Tone control
Tone and sound
You can select from the following tone
options:

Treble:
amplifies or attenuates high notes
>
Bass:
amplifies or attenuates low notes
>
Volume distribution on the right/left side
(balance):
Volume higher/lower on left or right side
>
Front/rear volume distribution (fader):
Volume higher/lower at front/rear
>
Central settings (RESET):
To reset the tone settings to the central
settings
>
Speed-dependent volume control
(Speed Vol.)
>
Professional LOGIC7 spatial effect (only
for Professional radio)
>
Equaliser (only for Professional radio).
The tone settings are source-specific,
i.e. they can be adjusted separately
for the radio, CD, MD and cassette. When
the audio source is changed, the tone
settings last used for the new audio source
are established.
The loudspeakers and headphones can be
adjusted independently. The tone settings
of the headphones are adjusted at the rear
control display; the headphones must be
plugged in for this adjustment to be
possible. Only treble, bass and balance can
be adjusted.

Altering tone settings
1. Select "Memory" and press to confirm
2. Select "Tone" and confirm
3. Select the desired tone setting

"Treble" and "Bass"
Select "Treble" or "Bass". You can make
the adjustment by pressing and turning the
controller
