Precautions when using laser
equipment
The BMW CD changer is officially desig-
nated a Class 1 laser product.
Do not remove the cover from the
housing. Never run the device if its
cover is damaged. Otherwise the invisible
laser beam could cause serious eye inju-
ries.
Repairs or maintenance work must only be
carried out by qualified service experts.
<
Copy protection
CDs are often copy-protected by the
manufacturer to prevent pirate copies
from being made. Please note the informa-
tion supplied with these CDs. These CDs
differ from those produced according to
the CD Audio Norm Red Book, which
serves as the operating basis for all CD
players and changers. It may be the case
that copy-protected CDs cannot be played
on your CD changer, or can only be played
subject to various limitations. In such
instances, please contact the CD vendor or
manufacturer.
