3. Select "BMW Assist" and confirm
4. Select "INITIALISE" and confirm.
BMW Assist is initialised.
BMW Assist is now started and communi-
cation established with the Service Centre.
Initialising takes several minutes. The
status is indicated in the control display. If
you call up another system, initialising
continues in the background.
If you have not yet arranged a
contract and would like to select
"INITIALISE", please contact BMW Service.
It will provide information on the terms of
the contract.

Initialising completed
After initialising has been completed
successfully, a summary of all services and
their current status is displayed.
Select "BMW Assist" and confirm.
"UPDATE"
Select and confirm to make changes to
your contract take effect.
The BMW Group's Mobile Service
Here you automatically dial the number of
the BMW Group's Mobile Service (Emer-
gency Service), e.g. in the event of a break-
down.
To notify the Mobile Service:
1. Select "BMW Assist" and confirm
2. Select "BMW Service" and confirm
3. Select "Breakdown Service" and
confirm.
The car's current position is displayed
4. Select "ACTIVATE" and confirm.
Your car's data are transmitted to BMW
Service.
BMW Service passes on your car's current
position and your customer details (vehicle
data) to the relevant Mobile Service. Voice
contact is then established with the Mobile
Service.
You can also call your local dealer,
the nearest dealer or the BMW
hotline.
