Destination input
Only enter data when the car is
standing still, and always obey the
traffic regulations and road signs in the
event of any contradiction between the
traffic situation and the instructions given
by the navigation system. Failure to do so
may result in an infringement of traffic laws
and put the car's occupants and other road
users at risk.

1. Press the controller, select "Destina-
tions" and confirm
2. Select "Dest. input" and confirm.
These menu items offer you various options
for destination input, as described below.
Entering a destination
address manually
The wordmatch principle makes the input
of names easier. This principle enables you
to enter alternative spellings and automati-
cally completes a name that has been
recognised beyond doubt, see page 138.
You can enter the destination addresses
with "ABC...".

"AS DEST." selects the address entered
as the destination
>
The address entered can be stored in
the address book with "AS ADDRESS".
You can store over 50 addresses and
transfer them directly from the address
book as destination inputs for the naviga-
tion system, see page 136.
Note the following special features:
>
If you do not enter a street name, you will
be guided to the boundary of the town or
city
>
Depending on the data stored on your
map CD, you may also be able to enter a
house number for certain streets
>
You can skip input of the country, town
or city if you wish to retain previous inputs
>
You can overwrite the street name if you
wish to be guided to a different street
within the same town or city.
An example of how to use the navigation
system to find the following destination:
Germany
Munich
Leopoldstrasse 194
To enter the destination address:
Select "ABC..." and confirm.
