"Fasten seat belts" warning light
Depending on version, an audible
signal
*
is simultaneously given or a
message
*
appears in the Check Control.
Comes on for several seconds or,
depending on version, until the seat belts
are fastened.
Unfastening
Press the red release button on the belt
buckle and guide the belt back if necessary
to reinforce the action of the automatic reel.
The upper belt anchorage will be in the
correct position for seat occupants of every
build if the seat is correctly positioned, see
page 42.
The two seat belt buckles integrated into
the rear seat are intended for the left and
right seat occupants. The buckle marked
CENTRE is only to be used by a person
occupying the centre rear seat.

If exposed to loads in an accident or
damaged in any other way, the belt
system including the belt tensioner and any
child restraint systems should be renewed
by BMW Service and the belt anchorages
checked.

Rear seats
If the centre seat is not occupied, the
tongue of the seat belt can be
inserted in the gap between the base
cushion and seat back.

Heated seats

Front
The temperatures of the seat cushion and
back are regulated.
Press once per temperature stage.
To switch off:
Press button for longer.
Rear
Functions as for heated front seats.
Temperature distribution at front
The temperature distribution between the
seat cushion and seat back can be varied,
e.g. to take account of the warmth of your
clothes.
