Proceed similarly to switch off the CB messaging service.
Reading new CB messages
After being sent, CB messages are displayed directly in the
first three lines on your handset.
They remain displayed there until they are e.g. either over-
written by new CB messages or until you call up a menu
with the display controls.
Reading a specific CB topic
If e.g. the automatic display of CB messages is switched
off, or if a message on a desired topic is not currently being
displayed when the handset is set to automatic display,
you can call up specific information from the list of CB
topics.

DTMF codes
You can also use your car phone to transmit control codes
(DTMF numbers) for accessing network services or for
controlling devices, e.g. for remote monitoring of an
answering machine.
To do this, either the DTMF touchtone must be switched on
permanently, see page 244, or you only transmit the DTMF
codes while a call is in progress, see Sending DTMF codes.
This function may only be used while a connection is
active.
