mountings
If the car is equipped with electrically
adjusted rear seats, before fitting a
child restraint system with ISOFIX mount-
ings the rear seat must be restored to its
basic position, see page 44.
Access to the mounting points
The illustration shows the rear left seat by
way of an example.
The ISOFIX child seat mountings are
located at the points marked with the
arrows, which are not visible from the
outside.
BMW Service will supply a fitting aid
for the installation of ISOFIX child seat
mountings. Observe the manufacturer's
operating and safety instructions.
<
Insert the centre seat belt in its catch and
pull the belt away from the area of the child
seat mounts.
Firmly press the fitting aid in at the parting
line between the base and back cushions,
such that both funnels engage in the
ISOFIX brackets in the seat.
To remove, pull off the fitting aid.
Child safety catches
Push down the locking lever on the rear
doors:
This door can now only be opened from the
outside.
Car Memory, Key Memory
Howitworks
You have probably wished at times that
individual functions of your car could be
individually selected or adjusted to suit
your own personal preferences. When
developing the car, BMW therefore
designed in a number of freely program-
mable options for the car, which you can
adjust at the control centre or have
adjusted by BMW Service.
There are Car Memory and Key Memory
settings, the former relating to the car itself,
the latter to your personal requirements.
You can have up to four sets of basic
settings programmed in for the use of four
different persons. This presupposes that
each person has his or her own remote
control.
