NOTE: The Glidepath Indicator is only shown for aircraft with GIA 63W Integrated Avionics Units when
SBAS is available.
TheVerticalDeviationIndicator(VDI)isamagentachevronindicatingthebaro-VNVverticaldeviationwhen
VerticalNavigation(VNV)isbeingused.TheVDIappearsinconjunctionwiththe“TODwithin1minute”
alert. The VDI is removed from the display if vertical deviation becomes invalid. See the Flight Management
SectionfordetailsonVNVfeatures,andrefertoSection2.2,SupplementalFlightData,formoreinformation
aboutVNVindicationsonthePFD.
The Glideslope Indicator appears to the left of the Altimeter whenever an ILS frequency is tuned in the
activeNAVeld.AgreendiamondactsastheGlideslopeIndicator,likeaglideslopeneedleonaconventional
indicator.Ifalocalizerfrequencyistunedandthereisnoglideslope,“NOGS”isdisplayedinplaceofthe
diamond.
TheglidepathisanalogoustotheglideslopeforGPSapproachessupportingSBASverticalguidance(LNAV+V,
L/VNAV,LPV).WhenanapproachofthistypeisloadedintotheightplanandGPSistheselectednavigation
source, the Glidepath Indicator appears as a magenta diamond. If the approach type downgrades past the final
approachx(FAF),“NOGP”isdisplayedinplaceofthediamond.
