1.2.4 Machine control panels
You can equip your milling machine with a SIEMENS machine control
panel or with a specific machine control panel supplied by the
machine manufacturer.
You use the machine control panel to initiate actions on the milling
machine such as traversing an axis or starting the machining of a
workpiece.
When functions are active, the LEDs on the corresponding keys on
the machine control panel light up.
1.2.5 Elements of the machine control panels
Emergency Stop button
Press this pushbutton in an emergency, i.e. when there is a danger to
life or there is a risk of damage to the machine or workpiece.
All drives will be stopped with the greatest possible braking torque.
For additional responses to pressing the Emergency Stop button,
please refer to the machine manufacturer's instructions.
Reset
Reset
• Interrupts execution of the current program.
The NC control remains synchronized with the machine. It is in its
initial state and ready for a new program run.
• Cancels an alarm
