Configuring basic device settings
Overview
The device basic information feature provides the following functions:
• Set the system name of the device. The configured system name is displayed on the top of the
navigation bar.
• Set the idle timeout period for logged-in users. The system logs an idle user off the Web for security
purpose after the specified period.
Configuring system name
1. Select Device > Basic from the navigation tree.
The system name configuration page appears.

2. Enter the system name.
3. Click Apply.
Configuring idle timeout period
1. Select Device > Basic from the navigation tree.
2. Click the Web Idle Timeout tab.
The page for configuring the idle timeout period appears.
