Resetting the fuser problem data
Description
Resets the detection of a service call code indicating a problem in the fuser section.
Purpose
To prevent accidents due to an abnormally high fuser temperature.
Method
1. Press the start key.
2. Press [EXECUTE] on the touch panel.
3. Press the start key. The fuser problem data is initialized.
4. Turn the main power switch off and on.

Checking/clearing the fuser counts
Description
Displays and clears the fuser counts for checking.
Purpose
To check or clear the fuser counts after replacing the fuser unit.
Method
Press the start key. The fuser counts is displayed.
Clearing
1. Press the clear key.
2. Press the start key. The count is cleared.
Setting
1. Change the count using the +/- or numeric keys.
2. Press the start key. The count is set.
Completion
Press the stop key. The screen for selecting a maintenance item No. is displayed.

Setting the fuser drive control
Description
Specifies ON/OFF the fuser drive control.
Purpose
Countermeasure against black dots which is caused by toner adhering to the heat roller separation claws.
Setting
1. Press the start key.
2. Select ON or OFF.
Initial setting: ON
3. Press the start key. The setting is set.
Completion
Press the stop key. The screen for selecting a maintenance item No. is displayed.
