Before replacing the PCDU
Each PCDU has two components: a drum unit and a development unit. Before replacing a PCDU, set
SP3-701 to "1" for the PCU that you will replace, and again for the development unit that you will
replace. Then switch the power OFF. Then replace the PCDU and switch the power ON.
Replacement
1. Open the front cover [A].
2. Remove the ITB front cover [A] ( x 1).
• The screw for the ITB front cover is shorter than the screws for the PCDU cover. Pay attention
to use proper screw(s) when attaching these covers.
