• Do not damage the installation surfaces of
the fuel tank when installing the fuel pump.
• Always use a new fuel pump gasket.
• Install the fuel pump gasket so that the lip
side turns to the inside of the fuel tank.
• Install the fuel pump as shown in the illustra-
tion.
• Align the projection “a” on the fuel pump with
the slot in the fuel pump bracket.
• Tighten the fuel pump bolts in the proper
tightening sequence as shown.

INSTALLING THE FUEL TANK
1. Connect:
• Fuel tank breather hose (fuel tank to hose
joint) “1”
• Fuel tank overflow hose (fuel tank to hose
joint) “2”
• Fuel tank breather hose “3”
• Fuel tank overflow hose “4”
2. Connect:
• Fuel hose (fuel tank side)

When installing the fuel hose, make sure
that it is securely connected, and that the
fuel hose connector cover on the fuel hose
is in the correct position, otherwise the fuel
hose will not be properly installed.
Install the fuel hose securely onto the fuel
pump until a distinct “click” is heard.
• Fuel hose connector cover
Attach the fuel hose connector cover “1” to the
fuel hose connector “2” from the bottom. Make
sure that parts “a” are firmly attached to the
fuel hose connector “2”.
3. Connect:
• Fuel sender coupler
• Fuel pump coupler
• Fuel tank overflow hose
• Fuel tank breather hose

INSTALLING THE FUEL TANK SIDE COV-
ERS
The following procedure applies to both of the
fuel tank side covers.
1. Install:
• Fuel tank side cover “1”

a. Fit the tabs “a” of the fuel tank side cover.
b. Slide the fuel tank side cover to the rear
and then fit the tabs.
c. Install the screw on the fuel tank side cover.
