INSTALLING THE SECONDARY INJEC-
TORS

• Always use new O-rings.
• When checking the injectors, do not allow
any foreign material to enter or adhere to
the injectors, fuel rails, or O-rings.
• Be careful not to twist or pinch the O-
rings when installing the injectors.
• When installing the injector, install it at
the same position as the removed cylin-
der.
• If an injector is subject to strong shocks
or excessive force, replace it.
• If installing the original fuel rails and
bolts, remove the white paint marks using
a cleaning solvent. Otherwise, paint chips
on the bolt seats could prevent the bolts
from being tightened to the specified
torque.
1. Install a new seal onto the end of each
injector.
2. Install the injectors “1” to the fuel rails “2”.
3. Install the secondary injector joint “3”, mak-
ing sure to install them in the correct direc-
tion.
4. Tighten the fuel rail screws “1”.
5. Install:
• Upper air filter case seal “1”
• Secondary injector assembly seal “2”
The matching adhesion portion of the seal
should be positioned within a range of “a”.
6. Tighten the secondary injector assembly
bolts “1”.
7. Check the injector pressure after the injec-
tors are installed to the upper air filter case.

1. Install:
• Upper air filter case

a. Tighten the upper air filter case bolts “1” as
shown.

2 Nm (0.2 m·kgf, 1.4 ft·lbf)
