Configuring Networking Using the CMC Web
Interface
NOTE: You must have Chassis Configuration Administrator privilege to set up
iDRAC6 network settings from the CMC.
NOTE: The default CMC user is root and the default password is calvin.
NOTE: The CMC IP address can be found in iDRAC6 Web interface by clicking
System→ Remote Access→ CMC. You can also launch the CMC Web interface from
this screen.
Launching iDRAC6 Web Interface From the CMC
The CMC provides limited management of individual chassis components,
such as servers. For complete management of these individual components, the
CMC provides a launch point for the server’s iDRAC6 Web interface.
To launch iDRAC6 from the Servers screen:

Log in to the CMC Web interface.

In the system tree, select
Servers
.
The
Servers Status
screen appears.

Click the
Launch iDRAC6 GUI
icon for the server you want to manage.
You can also launch iDRAC6 Web interface for a single server using the
Servers list in the system tree:

Log in to the CMC Web interface.

Expand
Servers
in the system tree.
All of the servers (1–16) appear in the expanded
Servers
list.

Click the server you want to view.
The
Server Status
screen for the server you selected displays.

Click the
Launch iDRAC6 GUI
icon.
