Operation
Use the MXLs LIST menu to
obtain a printout of the device
types and custom messages for
ALL modules to be walktested.
Review the list with the person in
charge of the fire protection
equipment to ensure that the
custom messages provide ad-
equate information for locating and
testing the devices in question.
Disable the ASD applications in the
system using ASD_Device in the
TEST menu prior to performing
walktest. Once the test ASD
device option has been enabled
using the test menu, the tester
should wait 3 minutes before
attempting to test the ASD
devices. This will ensure that the
ASD R-Algorithm has been dis-
abled for the test. When the test
is complete, press ASD_Device
again to re-enable ASD R-Algo-
rithm, or it will automatically re-
enable after 4 hours. System will
not reset if these ASD devices are
still in disabled state.
Initiate Walktest. Test devices in a
predetermined, orderly sequence.
When the Walktest is complete
(timed out/cancelled), acknowl-
edge the OUT OF TROUBLE
condition and reset the MXL.
When the System indicates
SYSTEM NORMAL, the test is
complete.
Walktest: System_wAUD / System_SIL
Use Walktest System_wAUD or
Walktest System_SIL to walktest all
CZM-4 zones, CZM-1B6 zones, and
ALD-2 inputs.
Select System_wAUD (for audible
feedback) or System_SIL (for silence)
and press ENTER. The PARTIAL
SYSTEM DISABLE LED lights, the
TROUBLE LED flashes, the internal
audible sounds, and the Walktest
activated trouble for the MXL appears
on the trouble list. If a printer is in-
stalled, the trouble is also printed.
