Introduction
1. Overview
1.1 Introduction
The Druck DPI620G is a battery powered instrument for electrical measurements, a source of
currents and voltages, and for HART® communications. Two more optional data protocols can
be
installed in the instrument: FOUNDATION™ Fieldbus and the Profibus® PA. The DPI620G
supplies the power and user interface options for all available functions. The display is a
touchscreen that can have a maximum of six channel screens in which to show different
parameters.
There are three types of the DPI620G instrument: DPI620G, DPI620G-B and the DPI620G-IS.
The
DPI620G is for general use. The DPI620G-IS (Intrinsically Safe) type is for use in areas that
possibly have explosive gases. The DPI620G-B has only one electrical channel and has to attach
to another device, for example, a PV62X or PV624 pressure station, to function as a pressure
calibrator.
You use the CALIBRATOR function in the DPI620G user interface to calibrate and test pressure
se
nsors and to test different types of switch.
The use of a type of MC620G module carrier or PV62X/PV624 pressure station, adds functions
to
the DPI620G. For information about these pressure stations, refer to manuals (132M9253) for
the PV62X and (174M7583) for the PV624.
The DPI620G and DPI620G-B are compatible with the PV624 pressure station but the
DP
I620G-IS is not.
The Druck DPI620G can have Bluetooth hardware as an option, for use with the PV624 device.

with this data protocol.
