Measure or Source Current with Loop Power
4.6.3 DPI620G-IS Measure or Source Current with Internal 15V Loop Power, CH2
CH2 can be set to measure or source current together with internal or external loop power. Refer
to
Section 4.1.2 and Section 4.6.2 on page 56 for information about the use of external loop
power. Internal 15V loop power becomes available for CH2 functions measure and source current
wi
th the selection of internal 15V loop power. With these set-ups, an unregulated 15V supply is
given across terminals ‘15Vo’ and ‘mA-/COM’ as shown in Figure 4-1
5 below.

6 shows CH2 set up to measure a current (±55mA) with internal loop power (15V). An
internal resistor (10 ohms) is between the ‘mA+/V’ and ‘mA-/COM’ terminals. The current limit or

1. Set the applicable channel options: CH2, Measure, Current (15V), mA.
2. Complete the electrical connections as shown and continue with the measure or source
operation.
