Verify blade port
registration
Verify blade port registration by using one of the following methods:
◆ “Unisphere” on page 246
◆ “Navisphere CLI” on page 248
If you have an FCoE I/O module in the boot slot (slot 0), use “Navisphere CLI” on
page 248 to register the blade ports.
Unisphere If you are using Unisphere, complete the following steps to verify the blade port
registration:
1. Right-click the storage system name on the main Unisphere page, and select
Connectivity Status from the menu.
A list of initiator records appears (see example in Figure 156). Each record
represents a blade port that is connected to the VNX array.
2. Verify that the WWNs in the Connectivity Status dialog match the values that
you obtained from the Control Station session in “Collecting blade WWNs” on
page 232. (The WWN format used by Unisphere is Node:Port.)
Note: Each blade port appears twice because of redundant paths to each physical port.
3. Verify that each blade port indicates Registered as Yes. Figure 156 is an example
of a new array; an existing array would have more entries in this list.

4. If blade ports are registered, skip to “Add gateway hostname to storage group”
on page 249. If any blade port is not registered, select the blade port and click
Register. The Create Initiator Record dialog box appears (see Figure 157 on
page 247). Click the Advanced Options link to reveal additional fields.
