• Steering with Yokogawa Autopilot
Route Steering Alarms
The alarms relevant to the Steering are of two types (permanent and intermittent).
Permanent alarms below are available regardless of the used
steering mode:
• OUT FROM CHANNEL is indicated by red colour of the
"Off track" value and by orange text
• OUT FROM GATE is indicated by orange text. Out of gate
indicates that, if the vessel continues using the current
course, then the vessel will be outside of the channel at wheel
over point.
Permanent alarm below is available only during route steering
mode:
• RATE LIMIT is indicated by orange text
Intermittent audio/visual alarms appear as follows:
• visual alarm and buzzer is located in ECDIS control panel (see example below).
• alarm number and text is visible on the bottom bar of the ECDIS screen (see example
below)
