Replacement Note:
After installing the MEP, perform the Wiper Alignment (page 6-2). The printer
may report error code 7,009.4x if the wiper assembly is misaligned.
Paper Guides
Inner Simplex
(PL 3.1)
1. Open the printer front door to access the guide.
2. Using a small flatblade screwdriver, pry inward on one retainer to remove it from
the mounting post then remove the other retainer.
3. Slide the guide down and forward to remove.
Replacement Note:
Note
The fingers on the Inner Simplex Guide, go over the segmented roller. First
snap the left retainer into place, then the right.
Lower Inner Duplex
(PL 3.2)
1. Open the front door.
2. Pull out on the tabs at the bottom of the guide and let the guide swing free.
3. Pry inward (toward the center of the printer) on the right upper retainer until it is
free of the mounting boss and remove the guide.
Lower Exit-Guide Assembly with Strip Flag
(PL 3.13)
1. Open the exit cover.
2. Lift upward on the center of the guide, then flex the left retainer inward to
remove it.
3. Remove the right retainer and remove the guide.
