26.2 Error messages
The following error messages may be displayed, if there are problems related to touch probes:

îš„ 8AB0 Illegal probing %.2s
îš„ C390 Error in 3-D touch probe %.2s
îš„ No measured value saved %.2s
îš„ Stylus already in contact
îš„ Exchange touch probe battery.
îš„ Touch probe not ready
îš„ TS: Inadequate consistency
26.3 Possible error causes
General îš„ Touch probe not ready
îš„ Collision (stylus, probe or transmitter/receiver unit damaged)
îš„ Humidity
îš„ Short circuit in the cable, in the transmitter/receiver unit or in the touch probe
îš„ Heavy contamination
îš„ Shocks or vibrations
îš„ Electromagnetic interference
îš„ Touch probe cable or connector defective
îš„ Touch probe defective
îš„ Touch probe interface on PLB 62xx system module or UEC 11x controller unit defective

The PLB 62xx and the UEC 11x feature "polyfuses."
Polyfuses are electronic fuses that become highly resistive if an overload occurs and thus
separate defective peripherals (e.g., touch probes) from the low voltages of the PLB 62xx or
the UEC 11x.
Polyfuses have a self-resetting function ("self-healing effect").
