Configuration
Host definitions
Auto Order-ID On, Off If you use On, the system automatically increments
the order ID number by one whenever you define a
new order.
If you choose On, then Sample ID Handling has to
be Independent ID or Grouped Sample ID.
Auto Print
Results
On, Off If you use On, sample results are printed as soon as all
results of the order are available and accepted.

Test tabs are used to group tests that are usually used
together.
You can assign a test to more than one tab.

Baud Rate Data transmission rate for host interface communica-
tion.
Select one of the predefined values.
Handshake Off An exchange of signals between two devices when
communication begins in order to ensure synchroni-
zation.

Line Mode Number of bits and stop bits used during data trans-
mission.

Parity Check On, Off An error detection technique that tests the integrity
of digital data in memory or on disk.

Mode
Off Download to the Cedex Bio analyzer is possible, but
upload to host is not.
Batch Only manual upload to the host is possible.
Realtime Results and queries are sent during processing.
Checksum On, Off A value used to ensure that data are stored or trans-
mitted without error. It is stored with the data. When
the data are retrieved from memory or received at the
other end of a network, a new checksum is computed
and matched against the existing checksum. A non-
match indicates an error.
Order Query
Mode
Query mode allows real-time communication during
order definition of regular, rerun, and repeated tests.
Off No queries are sent.
Test orders have to be defined either manually or by
downloading them from the host.
Once A query is sent only when the sample is identified the
first time.
Always A query is sent every time the sample is identified.
