¶ Fasten calibration board at position 1 first and then
at position 2.

i When attaching at position 2, the calibration board
must lie flat on the precision holder (pin must enga-
ge).
! Calibrating board:
$ Ensure that the calibration board is lying flat.
$ Ensure that the calibration board is fastened at
positions 1 and 2.
$ Replace a damaged calibration board.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Ultrasonic cleaning
¶ Clean the EL–52425 only with neutral cleaning
agents and soft, lint-free cloths.
! Coarse workshop rags and abrasive cleaning agents
may damage the EL–52425.
6.2 Check
R Have the EL–52425 inspected by an authorized cus-
tomer service technician in the event of a malfunc-
tion or damage.
R Check the cylindrical pins for wear.
R Check the seal on the spirit levels.
R Check the magnets, spirit levels and contact surface
for the board and laser for damage, dents, missing
parts.
R Clean the contact surfaces regularly.
R In case of damage
6.3 Checking with a spirit level
R Set up the EL–52425, fasten board 1690382288 at
the calibration height, align the EL–52425 using the
spirit levels.
R Use a commercially available spirit level with an
accuracy of at least 1mm/m.
1. Place on the front of the attached board and compa-
re the bubble on the spirit level with the bubble on
the mounting (pitch angle).
2. Place on the side of the post and compare the bubb-
le on the spirit level with the bubble on the moun-
ting (roll angle).
" The air bubble on the spirit level must not exceed the
center of the marking during either of the two checks.
If it does, do not use the EL–52425 and notify Service.
