data set(s). Column definitions from the latest data set are applied to the
new data set.
³ Select
Data > New Data Set.
An empty data set is created with the same column definitions as the
existing data set.
Using advanced data collection options
This section covers setting up more advanced data collection options.
This section’s topics include:
Setting up an offline sensor
Selecting a remote collection unit
Collecting remote data
Retrieving remote data
Setting up triggering
Setting up an offline sensor
The Add Offline Sensor option provides you with a method of setting
collection parameters and changing units for a sensor that is not
currently attached.
You cannot use an offline sensor but you can prepare it for use before it
is attached. This is useful to help speed up a lesson or lab when there are
not enough sensors for everyone, and the students are waiting for their
turn to use the sensor.
1. Select
Experiment > Advanced Set Up > Configure Sensor > Add
Offline Sensor
.
2. Select a sensor from the drop-down menu.
