PCV SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS

Condition

Unstable idle, frequent stalling.

Oil in air cleaner.

Possible Cause

EGR valve hoses misrouted.

BVSV is out of order.

Possible Cause

PCV valve completely stuck.

Hose plugged.

PCV system plugged.

Correction

Check EGR valve hose routings.

Check BVSV. Replace as necessary.

Correction

Replace valve.

Check hoses.

Replace valve.
