Maintaining Your Xerox Nuvera
The Xerox Nuvera is designed to maximize machine uptime. The machine is equipped with a short paper
path in order to minimize jams, and Replaceable Units in order to avoid extended periods of downtime.

Power Procedures
In order to ensure correct operation of the system, it is imperative that the system be powered on and
off in the way that it was designed to do so. Deviating from the procedures can result in poor performance,
loss of data and loss of productivity.

Powering On the Xerox Nuvera
Follow these procedures to correctly power up the entire Xerox Nuvera system and avoid damage to
the machine and/or loss of data.
Any finishing modules that haveseparate power on/off switches will be powered on at the time of install.
To power on the Xerox Nuvera
The power switch is the white switch located on the right side of the machine. Press the (|) symbol
embossed into the button toward the back of the machine to turn the power on. (For the Xerox Nuvera
157/200/288/314 EA/MX Perfecting Production System Perfecting System, the Power On switch is
located on Print Engine A1).
The Xerox Nuvera system begins its power-up/boot sequence and automatically launches the FreeFlow
Print Server operating system.
Note
Do not click anywhere in the user interface before the machine is through booting.
When the FreeFlow Print Server screen appears, you can begin printing jobs.
The entire power on process takes approximately 5 minutes.
