Clearing Jams in the Sheet Retime Module
For Xerox Nuvera 157/314 systems with a single BFM, the Sheet Retime Module (SRM) is required to be
installed in front of the BFM. Use the following information to clear any paper jams that may occur in
the SRM.
Note
Refer to the Xerox Nuvera user interface for any clearance instructions.
Caution
When clearing long sheets that overlap areas, you may need to open more than one area at a time to
remove the sheet. If you open areas 1 and 2 or 1 and 3 simultaneously, make sure to open each area
only slightly and not fully. These areas cannot be fully open at the same time or they will touch each
other.
Note
When clearing a paper jam in both areas 1 and 2, make sure to open area 2 first and then area 1. If a
sheet jams between areas 1, 2 and 3, open area 2 first, then area 3 or 1. Pull sheets out of one area first
and then the other.
1. Make sure jobs have stopped printing.
2. Open the interlocked SRM Front Door.
When the safety interlock opens, it removes power to the module.
3. Locate Area 1. Pinch the green levers (1) to release pressure. Continue to grasp the levers and move
them to the right. Remove the paper completely and return the levers to their original position.
