6 - 10 Instructions for Use
Transducer Articulation Controls (V7M)
Caution: Do not use your hands or fingers to bend or manipulate the articulating section of the
transesophageal transducer. To avoid severe damage to the articulating mechanism, use only
the transducer controls to change the articulation angle.
The Array Rotation Control, Flex Control, and Friction Brake are located on the handle of the
transducer.
Example of V7M transducer articulation controls.
1 Array Rotation Control
Rotates the transducer crystal within the distal tip of the transducer
2 Flex Control
Bends the articulating section of the transducer shaft
3 Friction Brake Lock Indicator
Red lock indicator means the friction brake is locked.
White lock indicator means the friction brake is unlocked.
4 Friction Brake
Locks the flex control
