2D-Mode Parameter Selections
Selection Description
Trapezoid Trapezoid/Linear
Enables linear or trapezoid image format for linear transducers.
 On displays a trapezoid image.
 Off displays a linear image.
Note: For systems without a touch screen, the selection is assigned to a soft key.
Space Time Adjusts the balance between the image line density (resolution) and the frame rate.
 0 to 3
Note: For systems without a touch screen, the selection is on the LED panel.
Maps Selects a processing curve that assigns echo amplitudes to gray levels.
 A, B, C, D, E, F
Note: For systems without a touch screen, the selection is on the LED panel.
Tint Changes the color of the image by adding blue, red, yellow, or green to the gray in a gray map.
 Available settings: transducer-dependent
Note: For systems without a touch screen, the selection is on the LED panel.
Edge Edge Enhancement
Distinguishes the contours of a structure during imaging.
 0 (none)
 1 to 4
Note: For systems without a touch screen, the selection is on the LED panel.
Persist Persistence
Creates a visible smoothing effect by maintaining lines of image data for each frame of
imaging. A higher setting includes more frames in the image data.
 Available settings depend on the transducer and exam type
THI Tissue Harmonic Imaging
 Enables or disables the Tissue Harmonic Imaging feature, used to enhance contrast
resolution.
Note: For systems without a touch screen, the selection is assigned to a soft key.
