5. Remove the Paper Exit Assembly (page 8-61).
6. Disconnect the connectors (P/J144 and P/J411) of the Interlock Switch Assembly
from the frame connectors.
7. Remove the two screws (silver with flange, 8 mm) that secure the Top Cover
Assembly to the printer.
8. Open the Top Cover and slide the Link Lever off the boss.
9. Remove the Top Cover Assembly.
a. Lift the rear of the Top Cover Assembly and slide the cover forward enough
to release the hooks at the front.
b. Tilt up the front and disconnect the Front Panel harness from the connector
(P/J810) on the Front Panel circuit board.
c. Release the Front Panel harness from the cable restraint.
10. Push the end tab of the Front Panel to release it, and slide the Front Panel out
through the top.
Replacement Notes:
â– When sliding the Link Lever onto the boss of the Top Cover, the Top Cover
should be opened, and the Link Lever should be extended.
â– When installing the Paper Exit Assembly, feed the harnesses of the Exit
Motor Assembly and Exit Sensor Harness Assembly1 into the square
openings in the frame.
