Position the new heim joint

and the special tool.
Guideline
Use soft jaws.
Pressing tool (T1206) ( p. 373)
– Press the heim joint all the way in.

– Press the heim joint against the lock ring using the special
tool.

Mount second lock ring

Position both collar bushings

and press in.
Finishing work
– Install the shock absorber. ( p. 83)
– Remove the motorcycle from the lift stand. ( p. 12)

Preparatory work
– Raise the motorcycle with a lift stand. ( p. 12)

Main work

Remove screw

and lower the rear wheel with the swingarm
as far as possible without blocking the rear wheel. Secure the
rear wheel in this position.
Info
Raise the wheel slightly to make it easier to remove the
screw.
– Swing the shock absorber to the rear.
