9.12 Removing the spring
Condition
The shock absorber has been removed.

– Clamp the shock absorber into the vise.
Guideline
Use soft jaws.
– Measure and note the spring length while the spring is under
tension.

Loosen screw

– Turn the adjusting ring until the spring is completely without
tension.
