6.10.8 Assembling the fork legs

The operations are the same on both fork legs.
Preparatory work
– Check the fork legs. ( p. 27)
– Assemble the cartridge. ( p. 29)
– Assemble the tap compression. ( p. 28)

– Clamp the inner tube using the axle clamp.
Guideline
Use soft jaws.
– Mount the special tool.

Grease and push on dust boot

Always change the dust boot, seal ring, lock ring, and
support ring.
Mount the sealing lip with the spring expander facing
down.
