14.8.8 Checking the chain, rear sprocket, engine sprocket, and chain guide
Preparatory work
– Raise the motorcycle with a lift stand. ( p. 12)

Main work
– Shift the transmission to idle.
– Check the chain, rear sprocket and engine sprocket for wear.
» If the chain, rear sprocket or engine sprocket is worn:
– Change the drivetrain kit. ( p. 154)

The engine sprocket, rear sprocket and chain
should always be replaced together.
