Removal
WARNING
Switch off the electricity to the machine. Disconnect the power cord from the customer
supply while performing tasks that do not need electricity. Electricity can cause death or
injury. Moving parts can cause injury.
1. Remove the Scanner Motor (REP 14.5).
2. Remove the long timing belt from the Platen Pulley (Figure 1).

3. Remove the Platen Pulley (Figure 2):

Replacement
1. Reinstallation is the reverse of the Removal procedure.

Press inward on the Platen Pulley Assembly to
release the belt tension on the belt.

Remove the belt from the
two pulleys.

Remove the short timing belt
from the Platen Pulley.

Remove the two mounting screws.
3
Remove the
Platen Pulley.
