4. Remove:
• Rocker shaft
• Rocker

1. Check:
• Valve seal
Leakage in valve seat => Check the valve
face, seat and width.
See Section
“INSPECTION AND REPAIR => VALVE
SEAT”.
NOTE:
Before removing the internal parts (valves,
springs, valve seat, etc.) from the head, check
the valve seal.
VALVES
Checking steps:
• Pour gasoline 1 into the intake and
exhaust manifolds.
• Check the valve seal. The valve seats
should be free from leakage 2.

Remove the rocker shaft, using
the sliding hammer 1 and weight 2.
