Removing the Rectifier Regulator
1. Remove the Rectifier Regulator protector
1.
2. Disconnect the cooling water hoses a
and b.
3. Disconnect the Rectifier Regulator
ground lead c.
4. Remove the plastic ties 2, and then
remove the Rectifier Regulator leads.
5. Remove the Rectifier Regulator couplers
d from the junction box.
6. Remove the Rectifier Regulator 3.
7. Remove the cover 4 and gasket 5 from
the Rectifier Regulator.
8. Remove the anode 6 from the cover.
Checking the Rectifier Regulator
anode
1. Check the anode. Replace if eroded.
Clean if there is grease, oil, or scales.
NOTICE: Do not apply grease, oil, or
paint to the anode.
Removing the junction box
1. Remove the caps 1, and then discon-
nect the PTT relay terminals a.
2. Disconnect the PTT relay coupler b.
3. Remove the PTT relay 2.
4. Disconnect the junction box wiring har-
ness extension terminal c and ground
lead terminal d.
5. Remove the plastic ties 3.
6. Remove the holder e on the wiring har-
ness from the junction box 4.
7. Remove the junction box 4.
