thestatusofseveralcomponentsinconditionsorlocationswhereaproblemwithvehicleperformancehasbeen
reported.SeefollowingWARNING.
WARNING
•Thevehicleoperatorshouldnotmonitorthehandsetwhilethevehicleisinmotion.Atechnician
canmonitorthehandsetwhiletravelingasapassengerinthevehicle.Failuretoheedthiswarning
couldresultinseverepersonalinjuryordeath.
ThefollowingparameterscanbemonitoredinrealtimewiththehandsetfromtheMonitormenu:

Displaysthecurrentbatteryvoltageatthespeedcontroller.

Displaysvolts(minimum)atacertainamperage.ThisisasettingparameterusedwiththeLowSOC(Stateof
Charge)detectionfault.
SIGNEDBATTERYCURRENT
Whiledrivingthevehicle,thisdisplayseitherthecurrentbeingpulledoutofthebatteriesorthecurrentbeingreturned
tothebatteriesduringregenerativemotorbraking.Ithasarangefromnegative(–)300ampstopositive(+)300amps.
BDIPERCENT
BatteryDischargeIndicator(BDI)Percentdisplaysthecurrentbatterystateofchargeasapercent.Itisbasedon
severalparametersmonitoredbythecontroller.
SPEED
Vehiclespeedinmph.
THROTTLE
Indicatesthepositionoftheacceleratorpedalfrom0%(pedalnotpressed)between95and100%(pedalfullypressed).
ThisitemcanbemonitoredwhenthekeyswitchisintheONorOFFposition.
TEMPERATURE
Displaysthetemperature(indegreesCelsius)ofthespeedcontrollerheatsink.Duringnormaloperatingconditions,the
heatsinktemperatureshouldbebelow185°F(±9)(85°C(±5)).SeefollowingNOTE.
NOTE:Anythingthataddsresistance(i.e.improperbrakeadjustment,lowairpressureintires,lowbatteryvoltage,
etc.)cancausetheoperatingcurrenttobehigherthannormal.Thishighercurrentincreasesthetemperature
ofthespeedcontrollerheatsink.
