10.Cleanspilledfuel.Removeanydrainedfuelfromthearea.
11.Connectthebattery.
12.Disablethevehicle.
13.SettheMaintenance/OperateswitchtoMAINTENANCE.
14.TurnthekeyswitchtoONandcheckforfuelleaks.Repeatasnecessarytobuildfuelpressure.Anyleaks
foundmustbexed.
DANGER
•Repairallfuelleaksbeforereturningthevehicletoservice.
15.Ifnoleaksarefound,settheMaintenance/OperateswitchtoOPERATE.
FUELTANK
GENERALINFORMATION
Thevehicleisequippedwithahighimpact,plasticfueltank.
WARNING
•Ifthefueltankisdamaged,replaceit.Donotattempttorepairit.Seethefollowingtankremoval
anddisposalprocedure.
CAUTION
•Addonlyunleadedfueltothetank.Donotputoilinthefueltank.
NOTE:ThisgasolinevehiclecomplieswiththeCaliforniaAirResourcesBoard(CARB)andEPAevaporative
emissionsregulationswhenequippedwithSAEJ30R91/4in(6.3mm)fuelventhoseand3/16in(4.78mm)
fuelventhose.ToremainincompliancewithCaliforniaandEPAregulations,replaceanyfuelventhoseon
thisvehiclewithClubCarfuelventhosesorequivalent.
FUELTANKREMOVAL
1.Disablethevehicle.
2.SettheMaintenance/OperateswitchtoMAINTENANCE.
3.Disconnectthebattery.
4.Cleanthetopofthefueltankandfuelpumpmodule.
